Pollon
A wannabe goddess.
Pollon is a funny and ironic TV animated series (46 episodes of 25 minutes each) broadcasted for the first time in 1984 with subsequent reruns (still on Boing in 2010).
The only daughter of Apollo, Pollon is a graceful girl who has not been granted the status of deity yet, in spite of her determination and hope. Her incomplete command of supernatural powers together with an innate instinct to nose around make life in the serene and peaceful Mount Olympus very complicated, throwing humans and divinities' destinies into turmoil. With Pollon, Greek mythology becomes entertaining even for the youngest, who get to learn the myths of the antique Greece whilst following the adventures of the funny protagonist, aspiring to become a goddess.
After many years, Pollon is still a popular character, especially among a female public. Thanks to her soft design and the irony of other characters, Pollon is very versatile when it comes to products. The target can be adult, with retro/vintage applications, but also a kid target with a pre-school flavor capable of conveying a cult of the Japanese animation of the '80ies.
